The money from this purchase will go directly towards holding a Blakyard Blitz - a permablitz style intervention where we come together to develop, improve and plant edible native foods in the yard of an urban based First Nations person experiencing food hardship or food insecurity…all for free! Blakyard Blitzes are also a great learning and sharing opportunity for First Nations people to come together to share knowledges and resources and build sustainable local and cultural relationships into the future.
Your donation will be spent on materials (plant stock, compost and mulch), some tools for ongoing maintenance, and a First Nations facilitator specialising in culturally centered food and medicine growing in the local area.
In return, you will receive a Yuruwan logo t-shirt (your choice of colour and size depending on stock), and a Yuruwan thank you card made of plantable native seeds. You will also be sent a photo from the day via email, once completed.
