Our Courses

We deliver a variety of online and in-person courses and opportunities that have been specifically develop for use within the food growing, gardening and native food space.

GROWING ON COUNTRY

(Coming Soon)

A five module online, self-paced course covering the protocols and perspectives required for best practice when growing and gardening on unceded Aboriginal land. This course is for non-Indigenous people working or practising in permaculture, horticulture, syntropics, small scale agriculture, community gardens, or just pottering in your garden at home.

The course includes downloadable teachers notes, worksheets and links to resources, with options for access to online group learning and Q&A sessions.

Growing on Country has been written, designed and developed entirely by a team of First Nations people, with all proceeds going back into supporting food-growing initiatives by and for our people and communities.

CULTURAL CAPABILITY TRAINING

A full day cultural capability workshop delivered online or in person. The workshop covers proper ways of working with First Nations people, communities and cultural and intellectual property within the agricultural or food/native plant growing space, and can be tailored to the particular needs of your organisation or business.

The course is delivered by First Nations facilitators, with both cultural and industry specific knowledge and experience.

YARNS ON THE BLOCK

Join us at our learning and sharing space on Jinibara Country, Conondale (QLD), for a half day of yarns by the fire, including a shared lunch. This is an informal opportunity to learn, share, and be guided by First Nations people in conversation about our protocols, perspectives and other relevant and contemporary issues.

The opportunity includes a tour of the learning and sharing space that is currently under development, and the opportunity to learn more about culturally-informed food growing.
